C4 mask CONDOR Carbon Antifog
The Condor mask by C4 is designed and developed for peak performance in any type of diving: freediving, spearfishing, snorkelling or scuba diving. Its unprecedented field of view sets a record by itself. It finally brings to the market what we have all missed - a practically unobstructed view upwards, so no more neck pain!
Now standard with a new anti-fog technology. C4 puts an end to the problem of fogging in diving masks by introducing several models equipped with special films applied to the inside of the lenses. These films prevent fogging in any situation, as long as a few simple usage guidelines are followed. There is no need for you to burn the lenses of the mask or use toothpaste to prepare it for diving. No need for spitting or use anti-fog sprays or sticks either. Just put the mask on and dive fog-free! All you have to do to maintain this is to wash the mask with mild detergent after each use to remove any oily substance.
The Condor Mask won the award for best Mask on the market at the International Award 2024 by Apnea Passion Magazine.
Instructions for Use and Maintenance of Antifog Masks
Introduction
The lenses of any mask – with or without antifog treatment – may fog up if they are dirty or not properly cleaned.
Masks with antifog treatment are designed to eliminate the need for the initial preparation normally required for all new masks. This treatment removes residues of oils and silicone greases used in the molding of silicone skirts. These residues are the main cause of fogging and are often difficult to remove even after multiple cleanings.
It is important to highlight that antifog masks are equipped with internal films applied directly to the glass, which constitute the antifog system itself: these films must never be removed, scratched, or tampered with, as doing so would compromise the effectiveness of the treatment.
It is important to note that an antifog mask can still fog up if the internal surfaces are not properly maintained.
Usage Recommendations
Preventing lens contamination
• Avoid contact with greasy or oily substances (e.g. sunscreens, oils).
• Never touch the inner lenses with dirty or dry fingers.
• Pool water may leave stains or residues depending on the chemicals present.
• The most common contamination, especially in summer, comes from sunscreen.
