Spearfish Pinocchio Open Speargun

Pinocchio Open is the new addittion to the Spearfish spearguns line to serve all spearos, who need a more powerful gun that does not need any "pimping" to shoot well. You can rely on this speargun for straight shots at 4+ meters. As such, Pinocchio Open is an ideal allaround speargun for reef hunting in clearer water. 

BODY
Pinocchio Open has a cylindrical aluminum body with extruded shaft guide. The ID is 26.5 mm which makes it suitable for the most handles and muzzles on the market. The tube is scratchproofed by a ceramic dye, which has proven to be a much beter solution, compared to simple anodizing. In addittion to the o-rings of the handle and muzzle, the tube is waterproofed by rubber plugs. The plugs are further sealed with a marine grade sealant to exclude any possibility for water intake, while allowing you to dismantle the gun easily.  

HANDLE AND TRIGGER

The handle of Pinocchio Open is manufactured for Spearfish! by MVD - a very tough yet ergonomic design. The weight is optimized by taking out material from all non critical zones. Reel attachment is envisaged on the trigger guard where you can find also the extremely simple yet effective silent safety.
The trigger is reversed, made entirely of stainless steel with lateral line release you can reverse for right, or left hand use.  An opening for anchoring a roller main pair is also envisaged, should you wish to convert your speargun later.  

BANDS AND MUZZLE

The muzzle of Pinocchio is open. Its design corresponds to our goal to achieve optimal lifting of the bands for parallel shaft pull. The muzzle width serves our desire to use the watter resistance to naturally dampfer the vertical recoil of a two-bands setup. 

Pinocchio Open is offered with two circular 14 mm Rob Allen bands terminated with dyneema wishbones. These are one of the best explosive behaviour bands on the market. In order to serve a wider range of spearos, the bands are cut at 3.0-3.1 ratio. If you wish, you can reduce the bands length and increase the ratio, but please mind the weight of the shaft and don't overpower your speargun - it may reduce its accuracy.  

SHAFT

We give you Pinocchio Open with very hard (Sandvik 48 RHc) but light 6.25mm shaft. By this we are aiming to reduce the risk of damage due to acccidental shot at a rock. Two polished notches are envisaged for the dyneema wishbones.  

RANGE

Pinocchio Open is offered in the three most popular reef hunting sizes - 75, 82 and 90 cm. Upon special request, we may prepare your gun in lengths 100, 110 and 120 cm. as well.
