Carbonio GFT Bassofondo (Shallows) are composite fiber blades made of 70% pure carbon and 30% fiberglass and resins. The 'Bassofondo' blades are offered in single hardness, and are a bit shorter than usual, measuring 65cm x 19cm.
The blades are designed with winter dives in mind and еspecially for reef spearfishing at depth up to 10m. They combine excellent durability with great elasticity. The layered different thickness along the length of the blade provides ideal curve for fast finning with extreme ease and control. The 'Bassofondo' are light, precise and easy to use but always ready to push with an elastic reaction equal to the longer models.
As with all GFT Carbonio models, the 'Bassofondo' is made of composite materials utilizing the PrePreg (pre-impregnation with resin under controlled humidity) technology, which provides the blades with excellent mechanical characteristics, thus increasing the performance and safety levels. The lateral protectors channel the flow of the water thus providing stability to the blade. The protectors are black by default, but red protectors are available upon request.
The blades are available in versions for all popular footpockets (sold separately):
- Pathos Fireblade
- O.ME.R Stingray
- Sporasub Spitfire
- Cressi Gara Modular (note longer delivery time)
- SalviMar Delta One (factory modified, note longer delivery time)
- GFT Footpockets (note longer delivery time)
There is an option for applying camouflage pattern on the carbon fiber blades with the camo painted prior to the polymerization of the resin. As a result, the camo pattern remains perfect and indestructible even when the blade is scratched.?
